A low fat and quick pasta dish for carb fiends..

Recipe Ingredients for Spinach and Tomato pasta

80 g whole wheat pasta
50 g spinach
25 g tinned tomatoes
1 onion
1 clove garlic

Recipe Directions for Spinach and Tomato pasta

  1. If cooking from dry pasta - put pasta on to boil first.

  2. Fry onion and garlic using one of the 1cal frying sprays. Once they are soft, add the tinned tomatoes (about half a can tops). Leave to bubble while the pasta is cooking.

  3. At the point where you are draining the pasta, drop the spinach into your tomato and garlic mix. Swirl it around until it's wilted - and then toss with the pasta.

  4. If you're allowed a little more than 360 cals in a meal - then grate a little low fat cheese/parmesan on top.

  5. You can play around a bit with the pasta/veg ratio as well - to try to bulk up your 5 a day and reduce your carbs. Just make sure you get a pretty full bowl to keep hunger at bay.
