Classic dish of spinach flavored with garlic and olive oil. Very easy.

Recipe Ingredients for Spinach with Garlic & Olive Oil

2 pounds fresh spinach, washed
4 cloves garlic, cut in half
2 tbs olive oil
1/4 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Spinach with Garlic & Olive Oil

  1. Put the garlic halves and olive oil into a large saute pan with a lid.

  2. Slowly heat until the garlic sizzles and begins to turn golden on the edges.

  3. Remove the garlic from the pan.

  4. Shake some of the water off the spinach leaves

  5. Begin to add the spinach to the pan, tossing to coat with olive oil.

  6. Put the lid on and allow it to wilt down before adding more spinach

  7. Continue until all the spinach is in the pan

  8. Cover and simmer on low for a few minutes.

  9. Remove from the pan, drain well and chop before serving.

  10. Season with salt to taste.
