South Indian main dish, eaten with rice

Recipe Ingredients for spinach dal

50 g Toor Dal
8 cup (8 fl oz) Water
7 cups Organic Baby Spinach
1 tsp Salt, Table
0.67 tbsp Vegetable Oil, Canola
3 g Mustard Seeds
1 grams Red Raw Chillies
1/2 tsp Turmeric, Ground
1/2 tsp Turmeric, Ground
5 grams Tamarind
2 teaspoon Chilli Powder

Recipe Directions for spinach dal

  1. Prepare seasoning with oil, mustard seeds, hing and add wash spinach, sautee. then add the pressure cooked toor dal and stir. Bring it to boil and add salt, tamarind and chili powder to taste.

  2. You would have added turmeric and a dab of oil to cook in pressure cooker.

  3. You can also sautee green chilli with this.
