Great winter meal when you want something a little lighter than regular chili.

Recipe Ingredients for Spicy White Bean Chili

2 medium white Onions, chopped
2 Garlic Clove
1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
4 cups chicken breasts, boneless skinless
48 ounce Great Northern Beans
5 cups water
8 oz chopped green chiles, drained
2 tablespoons cumin
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon paprika

Recipe Directions for Spicy White Bean Chili

  1. Saute the onions and garlic in the oil in a stockpot until the onions are tender.

  2. Add the chicken, beans, broth, green chiles, cumin, chili powder, cayenne pepper, oregano, cloves and paprika and mix well.

  3. Bring to a boil; reduce heat

  4. Simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Ladle into soup bowls.

  5. Yields 11 servings
