Recipe Ingredients for Spicy Veggie Tofu Stir Fry

1 cup onion
1 cup carrots, sliced
1 cup celery, sliced
1 cup broccoli florets
1 1/2 cup raw mushrooms, sliced
10 ounces firm tofu
2 T low sodium soy sauce
1 T toasted sesame oil
1/2 T honey (or agave nectar)
1/2 T crushed red pepper
1 T garlic, minced
2 T ginger, minced
1/2 T sesame seeds

Recipe Directions for Spicy Veggie Tofu Stir Fry

  1. To make sauce: combine soy sauce, sesame oil, honey (agave), crushed red pepper (or chili garlic sauce), garlic and ginger. Combine with Tofu and set aside

  2. Dry saute onion in very hot wok - saute 1 minute

  3. Add carrots and celery - saute 2 minutes

  4. Add broccoli - saute 2 minutes

  5. Add mushrooms - saute 2 minutes

  6. Add tofu & sauce mixture - saute 3 minutes.

  7. Take off heat and sprinkle sesame seeds. Servce with rice/quinoa/couscous
