1 can of Muir Glen diced tomatoes work well. I especially like the fire-roasted variety with green chiles.

Recipe Ingredients for Spicy Turkey

1 tbsp fat free chicken broth, low-salt
1/2 cup onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound ground turkey
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp cinnamon
14 1/2 ounces tomatoes, diced

Recipe Directions for Spicy Turkey

  1. lightly brown onions and garlic. set aside.

  2. lightly brown ground turkey.

  3. add cumin and cinnamon, stir well and let cook completely.

  4. add onion/garlic mixture, and tomatoes. let cook through.

  5. serve with a delicious veggie side like eggplant, artichokes or spinach, or tortillas.
