Tuna Melt that is delicious! Must try! Clean eats for the most part! Tuna flavor is not as strong with the carrots added and other goodies! :)

Recipe Ingredients for Spicy Tuna Melts

1 can Tuna, Light, Canned In Water
1 can Tuna, Light, Canned In Water
0.25 serving Fat Free Plain Yogurt
0.25 tsp Pepper, Black
0.5 tsp Sea Salt
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Onion Powder
3 serving Ground Cumin
1 medium raw Carrots
4 slice Nature's Own 100% Whole Wheat
1 slice Deli Style Sliced Colby-Jack Cheese

Recipe Directions for Spicy Tuna Melts

  1. Preheat ovien to 400*. Drain Cans of Tuna really well, add to mixing bowl, add yogurt (greek would be best!) all seasonings. (optional, I added jalapeno to ours about 1 tsp.) Grate carrot and add to mixture. Set aside and begin toasting your bread. Place toasted (but not dark toast, don't over toast!) pieces of bread on oven pan, take 1/4th of the Tuna mixture and spread on each piece of bread. I used 1 slice of cheese per two sandwiches. I simply cut in a diagonal across the cheese and laid it on top of the sandwich. Place in oven at 400* for about 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tuna is warmed through. Each serving is 2 "Half" sandwiches.

  2. ***Note: this recipe is a little off, the cheese we used was Low fat cheeses instead of the regular version. This recipe will be slightly off in calories but not by much!
