Makes 1 serving

kind of like a salsa, i like it really spicy, so a jalapeno pepper and a teaspoon of crushed red pepper does the trick

Recipe Ingredients for Spicy Tomato Paste (salsa)

5 medium whole (2-3/5" dia) Tomatoes, Red, Ripe
0.13 cup sliced Jalapeno Pepper
1 tsp Pepper, Black
1 clove Garlic
1 tsp Salt, Table
1 tsp Spices Crushed Red Peppers
1 pita, large (6-1/2" dia) Bread, Pita, White, Enriched

Recipe Directions for Spicy Tomato Paste (salsa)

  1. Dice the tomatoes, and put them in a seperate bowl.

  2. Dice a clove of garlic and the jalapeno pepper.

  3. Heat up a frying pan, and throw in the jalapeno and garlic. I don't put oil on, but you could add oil. I find that adding a few tsps of water every here and there helps mix the flavors.

  4. Throw in the (ripe) tomatoes and mix it just so the jalapeno and garlic don't remain at the bottom.

  5. Leave it for maybe 15 min, checking every 3-4min to mix it. It should start to look consistant.

  6. At this point mix in the black pepper, salt, and crushed red pepper. let it sit for maybe a minute, and then serve it.

  7. I use pita bread to eat it, but you can use chips or anything you want. It can also be eaten as is with a spoon

  8. makes 2-3 cups, so it feels me up, and it takes a looot to fill me up.
