Recipe Ingredients for Spicy Tempeh Lettuce Roll Ups

4 ounces tempeh
1 tbsp mayo (traditional or a vegan variety)
1/4 avocado, mashed
1 tsp chili sauce
1/4 cup shredded carrot
4 like Romaine leaf,+large lettuce leaves
1/4 cup shredded cabbage

Recipe Directions for Spicy Tempeh Lettuce Roll Ups

  1. Crumble tempeh into a skillet with some boiling water (just enough water to cover most of the tempeh). (Optional, you may want to add some soy sauce to the water). Cook until water is gone and brown the tempeh slightly. Set aside to cool.

  2. Mix everything else (except lettuce). Add tempeh to mixture and combine until well blended. Stuff the tempeh mixture into leaves and roll like a burrito (secure with tooth pick). Save extra filling or make more rolls.
