I whipped this up on a whim; it was originally to stuff a chicken breast with but I ended up having it on the side. It's satisfying, just a little bit spicy, and absolutely delicious. I also want to try making croquettes out of them and frying them in oil. I have a feeling they'd be lovely.

Recipe Ingredients for Spicy Stuffing

1 chili pepper
1/3 red bell pepper
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 clove garlic
1/2 small white onion
1/3 cup bread crumbs
1 tbsp 2% milk
2 tsp salted butter
6 leaves fresh basil
3/4 oz goat cheese

Recipe Directions for Spicy Stuffing

  1. Put breadcrumbs in a bowl.

  2. Chop your veggies and dump them in with the breadcrumbs and mix thoroughly. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Heat a pot on the stove, throw in a little butter.

  4. When the butter's melted, toss in your mixture, stirring occasionally.

  5. The milk (and more butter) are optional; the stuffing has a good consistency without it but the milk really brings things together.

  6. Plate, add two leaves of basil as garnish and serve.
