Its a low calorie, low fat pasta sauce with a kick!

Recipe Ingredients for Spicy Sauce

2 tbsp Parsley
1 tbsp Italian Seasoning
1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
1 tsp Ground Red Pepper
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 cup Red Bell Peppers (sweet, canned)
1/4 cup Jalapenos
1/4 cup Ricotta Cheese, fat free
1/4 cup plain yogurt , fat free
4 oz Cream Cheese fat free
6 tbsp Cream, half half fluid
2 cups Button Mushrooms
1 tbsp margarine (or 2 tbsp light margarine)

Recipe Directions for Spicy Sauce

  1. In a blender, liquefy sweet red bell peppers, jalapenos, ricotta cheese, Plain yogurt, cream cheese, and half & half.

  2. In a skillet, heat 2 tbsp light margarine; when warm, add mushrooms and saute.

  3. Add sauce in blender to mushrooms, along with all of the spices/seasonings.

  4. Sauce is ready when heated throughout.

  5. Pour over your favorite (cooked) noodles and enjoy (I prefer the sauce with Linguine noodles).

  6. Cayenne pepper and ground red pepper amounts may be reduced to taste (recipe as-is has a lot of heat to it).

  7. This sauce is very tasty with shrimp or julienned chicken.
