Recipe Ingredients for Spicy Quorn Lasagne

2 large red onion
400 g tomato
500 g Passata
1 hot pepper
2 tsp thyme
250 g pasta
600 ml milk
2 tsp mustard powder
2 tbs cornstarch
30 g cheddar

Recipe Directions for Spicy Quorn Lasagne

  1. Preheat the oven to 180C, 350F, Gas Mark 4

  2. Pre-heat and non-stick pan and dry fry the onions and garlic until soft. Add the Quorn mince and cook until brown, add the remaining ingredients up to but not including the lasagne sheets/pasta and simmer for about 20 minutes.

  3. Heat most of the milk in a saucepan along with the mustard powder. Mix the cornstarch with the remainder of the cold milk and then whisk into the warmed milk and heat until thickened, whisking continuously. Season to taste.

  4. Spoon a thin layer of the Quorn sauce into the base of an oven-proof dish, cover with a layer of lasagne sheets, continue alternating sauce and lasagne sheets until they are all used up, finish with a layer of lasagne. Cover with the white sauce and sprinkle with the grated cheese then bake in the pre-heated oven for 35-40 minutes.
