Pork and sausage with an assortment of vegetables and rice.

Recipe Ingredients for Spicy Pork Jumbalaya

1 stick butter
1 c. onions
1/2 c. celery
1/2 c. bell pepper
1/4 c. green onion
1 1/2 c. raw rice
2 c. water
4 pork chops
2 links smoked sausage, 1/4 inch slices
1 salt
1 pepper
1/4 cup hot sauce

Recipe Directions for Spicy Pork Jumbalaya

  1. Melt butter in heavy pot. Add vegetables. Add pork, cook 10 minutes.

  2. Add gravy and 1 cup water. Cover and cook until pork chops are tender.

  3. Simmer and add rice and green onion.

  4. Add twice as much water as there is rice. Bring liquid to a boil. Cook until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.

  5. Cover and let sit for 15 minutes.
