Recipe Ingredients for Spicy Pear Oatmeal

1 1/2 c water
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
2 tbsp raisins
2 tbsp craisins
3/4 c oats
1 pear
2 tbsp chopped pecans (or walnuts)
2 tsp butter

Recipe Directions for Spicy Pear Oatmeal

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the water, salt, & nutmeg.

  2. Bring to a boil; add the raisins, craisins, & oats.

  3. Cook over medium heat stirring occasionally for 5 minutes.

  4. Remove from heat.

  5. Core & chop the pear; place in pan with the oat mixture.

  6. Add the pecans and butter. Gently stir until butter is melted.

  7. *Note* - Add more nutmeg, cinnamon, splenda.
