I use this sause to eat rice, potatoes and as salad dressing. It is versalite and not very high calories. I come from a culture that cannot eat rice without some sauce and have to improvise. I hope you also find it useful.

Recipe Ingredients for Spicy Onion and Tomato Sauce

2 large whole (3" dia) Tomatoes, Red, Ripe
1 clove Garlic
3 dash Salt, Table
1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 large Onions

Recipe Directions for Spicy Onion and Tomato Sauce

  1. Chop onions into tiny pieces

  2. Heat olive oil is pan

  3. Cook onion in olive oil until transparent

  4. Pound garlic and chili in a mortar

  5. Add to oinion and cook for one minute

  6. Pound tomatoes in mortar and add to the cooking onion mixture

  7. Cook until moisture is nearly gone

  8. Add 3 tablespoon of water and a dash of salt

  9. Cook for one minute and ready to serve
