Recipe Ingredients for Spicy Moong Dahl Recipe

1 cup green lentils
4 cups water
1 tsp red chili
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp cumin
1 medium onion
1/2 tbsp garlic paste
1/2 tbsp ginger paste
1 tomato
1 potato
2 cups cauliflower
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 cup water

Recipe Directions for Spicy Moong Dahl Recipe

  1. Rinse dahl and place in pressure cooker with 4 cups water, turmeric, salt, chili powder. After one whistle, reduce heat to medium and cook for 8 minutes. Do not release steam.

  2. Heat oil and cook cumin. Add onion and cook until golden.

  3. Add garlic, ginger, tomato, potato, cauliflower, cilantro and water. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until cauliflower and potato are soft.

  4. Add to dahl, add garam masala, mix and serve hot.
