Recipe Ingredients for Spicy Mexican Squash Soup

1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cups onions
1 tablespoon minced garlic
3 cups water
4 cups butternut squash
2 cups chopped tomatoes
2 cups green peppers
2 cups corn
1 hot pepper
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon chili powder

Recipe Directions for Spicy Mexican Squash Soup

Heat oil over medium, add onions, garlic, and hot pepper and cook, stirring for 10 minutes or until browned. Add water, squash and spices, cook 10 minutes. Add tomatoes and peppers, cook 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Add corn, cook 5 more minutes.
