Hummus is a Middle Eastern spread made from seasoned mashed chickpeas. Served with pita wedges, this is a simple and satisfying snack.

Recipe Ingredients for Spicy Hummus

3/4 cup parsley
6 tbsp onion
4 garlic cloves
45 ounce chickpeas
6 tbsp sesame seeds
6 tbsp cider vinegar
6 tspn soy sauce
6 tspn lime juice
3 tspn honey
3 tspn dijon mustard
3/4 tspn salt
3/4 tspn ground cumin
3/4 tspn ginger
3/4 tspn coriander
3/4 tspn paprika

Recipe Directions for Spicy Hummus

  1. In a food processor or blender, combine the parsley, onion and garlic; cover and process until smooth.

  2. Add the chickpeas, sesame seeds, vinegar, soy sauce, lime juice, honey, mustard and seasonings; cover and process until smooth. Serve with pita bread.
