Ground Turkey Kabobs with a low fat sauce

Recipe Ingredients for Spicy Ground Turkey Kabobs

16 oz Fresh Ground Turkey - Lean
1 medium raw(110 g) Onion Yellow
3 tsp California Style Minced Garlic made from Fresh Garlic
1 oz Mint
2 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Spices Ground Coriander
0.5 tsp Organic Stone Ground Mustard
1 tsp Salt, Table
1/4 tsp Black Pepper
0.75 cup Fat Free Plain
25 grams Classic Dijon Mustard
1/4 cup Coriander Leaves
1 tsp Garlic
0.5 Teaspoon Juice
0.5 tsp Cumin

Recipe Directions for Spicy Ground Turkey Kabobs

  1. For the kabobs - Preheat the oven to 400F. Place the kabob ingredients in a

  2. large mixing bowl. Mix well with a rubber spatula or with clean hands. There

  3. will be about 2 cups of mixture. Form mixture into balls, directly onto the skewers. Meatballs should be approximately 1 inches across with the skewer running through the middle. Leave about inch in between each meatball. Place skewers on a nonstick baking sheet. Skewers should be evenly spaced and not touching. Bake for approximately 10-12 minutes or until no longer pink, juices run clear and meatballs reach an internal temperature of 165F; turn meatballs once halfway through cooking. Prepare the sauce while the kabobs are baking.

  4. For the sauce - Combine all sauce ingredients in the bowl of a food processor or blender. Blend until smooth. Sauce should be the consistency of thick cream.

  5. To serve - Place one skewer on each plate. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of sauce and sprinkle with fresh herbs. Serve with a cucumber or tomato salad and hummus. Pass any extra sauce for dipping.
