Recipe Ingredients for Spicy Granola

2 cups rolled oats
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/3 cup agave syrup
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/4 cup almonds
1/4 cup cashews
1/4 cup walnuts
1/3 cup golden raisins

Recipe Directions for Spicy Granola

  1. Mix oats, cinnamon, cayenne pepper and salt in a medium bowl. toss to distribute spices.

  2. In another bowl mix agave syrup, vegetable oil and vanilla extract.

  3. Add liquid to oats and mix with hands until all oats are coated. Some clumping here is good.

  4. Spread out evenly onto baking sheet covered with wax paper (again, some clumping is good) and bake at 365 F oven for 15 minutes. Add nuts and bake for an additional 15-30 minutes.

  5. Let cool completely before adding raisins. Store in an airtight container.
