Recipe Ingredients for Spicy Chili

2 tbsp olive oil
1 clove garlic
2 medium onions
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp cumin
3 tbsp chili powder
16 ounces chorizo sausage
15 ounces kidney beans
15 ounces garbanzo beans
1/4 cup lentils
15 ounces corn
56 ounces chopped tomatoes
4 tbsp ketchup

Recipe Directions for Spicy Chili

  1. In a large medium-high heated pot with oil, saute garlic and onions with a little salt.

  2. Add the garlic, cumin, chili powder. (Optional - add bay leaves for taste - not listed in ingredients.)

  3. Stir fry chorizo with onions and garlic for 3 minutes.

  4. Stir in kidney beans, garbanzo beans, lentils, corn, chopped tomatoes and ketchup (and additional salt to taste). (Also add any peppers of your choice - but you will have to add them to your meal calculation).

  5. Cook for 35 minutes at medium-high, stirring frequently.

  6. Top with optional ingredients listed above in description (be sure to add to meal calculation).
