Pretty spicy chicken fajitas recipe. Made with chile de arbol that was suggested to me by a mexican grade school friend from San Diego. The spice is in how much of the chiles you use! Be careful! ;-)

Recipe Ingredients for Spicy Chicken Fajitas - Homemade

1 3/10 lb chicken breast
1 1/2 tbsp canola oil
1 1/2 tbsp lime juice
5 g garlic, minced
2 g tsp chile powder
3/10 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp cumin
3 grams chile de arbol
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
200 g onion, sliced thin
175 g green pepper, sliced thin

Recipe Directions for Spicy Chicken Fajitas - Homemade

  1. In bowl, mix together canola oil, lime juice, garlic, chili powder, cayenne pepper, cumin, chile de arbol, black pepper & salt. Add chicken strips and stir to coat, set aside.

  2. Spray pan with non-fat cooking spray.

  3. Add onions & peppers stirring for 3-4 minutes, until softened; transfer to a bowl and set aside.

  4. Add chicken to skillet, cook, stirring for 3-4 minutes or until cooked through.

  5. Return onions and peppers to skillet; stir for about 3-4 minutes.

  6. Serve.
