A really spicy carrot side dish from morocco. I doubled the spices from the original recipe, so you can adjust it to your tastes.

Recipe Ingredients for Spicy Carrots

32 oz Carrots
2 tbsp Olive Oil
2 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Paprika
1 tsp Turmeric, Ground
1 tsp Salt, Table
1 serving Cayenne Pepper Spice
0.33 tbsp Honey, Strained Or Extracted
2 lime yields Lime Juice
0.5 cup Coriander Leaves

Recipe Directions for Spicy Carrots

  1. 1. Heat olive oil over low heat.

  2. 2. Add the carrots, sautee until beginning to brown (~8 min).

  3. 3. Add salt, turmeric, cumin, and paprika and stir until a paste forms on the carrots.

  4. 4. Add cayenne pepper (or harisa), honey, and lime juice and stir until mixed in.

  5. 5. Remove from heat and stir in cilantro leaves. Enjoy hot.
