Spicy Black Bean and Lentil Burgers

Recipe Ingredients for Spicy Black Bean and Lentil Burgers

9 ounces cooked black beans
9 ounces cooked lentils
1/4 small onion
1 garlic cloves
1 red bell pepper
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
1 Egg, Whole
1/4 cup breadcrumbs

Recipe Directions for Spicy Black Bean and Lentil Burgers

  1. Prepare beans according to packages.

  2. Allow beans to cool and mash well.

  3. Chop onion, garlic, and red bell pepper finely.

  4. Mix all ingredients together in large mixing bowl.

  5. Roll mix into hamburger patties.

  6. Add to greased skillet until brown on both sides (5-8 min).
