Sweet, mixed bean cassarole. Cheap and delicious.

Recipe Ingredients for Spicy Beans

1 lb. ground beef
28 oz. baked beans
15 1/2 oz. pinto beans
15 1/2 oz. black beans
15 1/2 oz. kidney beans
1 cup heinz ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
2 sweet peppers
1 medium onion

Recipe Directions for Spicy Beans

  1. Chop onion & peppers (rough chop).

  2. Cook ground beef. Pour off most of fat.

  3. Use some fat to saute onion & peppers until soft.

  4. Meanwhile, mix all rest of ingredients in large bowl.

  5. Add hamburg & vegetables. Mix thoroughly. Pour into cassarole containers (with lids).

  6. Bake at 300-325 degrees for about 1 hour, or until bubbly.

  7. Serve with corn bread & salad.
