Spicy meat-free bean burgers in breadcrumbs

Recipe Ingredients for Spicy Bean Burgers

1 tbsp oil
1/2 cup celery
1 onion
1 clove garlic
1/4 cup capsicum
1 tbsp ginger
2 cups beans
1 tsp cumin
2 tbsp coriander
1 egg
100 g breadcrumbs

Recipe Directions for Spicy Bean Burgers

  1. Finely chop celery, onion and chilli (capsicum)

  2. Crush garlic and grate ginger

  3. Fry celery, onion, chilli, garlic and ginger for 5mins until soft

  4. Drain, rinse, drain beans & blend until smooth

  5. Add contents of fry pan, salt, pepper, cumin & coriander

  6. Mix well

  7. Flour your hands to shape bean mix into six burger patties

  8. Cover and refrigerate for 30mins

  9. Dip burgers in beaten egg & coat with breadcrumbs

  10. Cook for 20mins at 200 Celsius/ 400 Fahrenheit
