Recipe Ingredients for Spicy Asian Slaw with Sesame and Sweet Red Pepper

2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1/2 cup lime juice
1/2 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp sugar
1/4 cup peanut oil
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
8 cups savoy cabbage, cored and shredded
1 red bell pepper
1 jalapeno pepper
2 scallions
1/2 cup cilantro, roughly chopped
2 tablespoons sesame seeds, with hull

Recipe Directions for Spicy Asian Slaw with Sesame and Sweet Red Pepper

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the vinegar, lime juice, soy sauce, salt, pepper, sugar and oils. Add the cabbage, peppers, scallions, and cilantro, toss.

  2. Toast the sesame seeds in a dry frying pan over med-high heat until lightly browned and fragrant, about 5 minutes.

  3. Sprinkle the seeds over the top of the slaw and serve.
