Spicey Orange Pork Recipe

Easy and flavorful, even without the red pepper flakes. Servings are large. Beef or chicken can be substituted for pork.

Recipe Ingredients for Spicey Orange Pork

1/4 cup orange juice concentrate
3 tbsp Soy Sauce
3 tbsp water
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp finely grated orange peel
1 tsp sugar
5 tbsp vegetable oil, divided
2 garlic cloves, minced
4 cups broccoli florets
12 green onions with tops, cut into 1-inch pieces
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1 pound boneless lean pork cut into thin strips
3 oranges, medium, sectioned

Recipe Directions for Spicey Orange Pork

  1. In a small bowl, combine the first six ingredients; set aside.

  2. In a large skillet or wok heat 3 TBSP oil over medium heat; sauté garlic for 30 seconds.

  3. Add broccoli, onions, ginger, and pepper flakes; stir fry for two minutes or until broccoli is crisp-tender.

  4. Remove vegetables and keep warm. Heat remaining oil in skillet and; add pork.

  5. Stir-fry until no longer pink.

  6. Stir orange juice mixture; add to skillet.

  7. Cook and stir for two minutes until sauce is thickened.

  8. Return vegetables to pan.

  9. Add oranges and heat through.

  10. Serve over rice.
