Spicey Crock Pot Chili Recipe

Prepare the night or day before but do not put in crock pot until morning. Dinner will be ready when you walk in the door

Recipe Ingredients for Spicey crock pot chili

1 pound ground beef
1/2 pound of ground turkey
1 cup green bell peppers, chopped
1 cup onions, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
1/2 cup mushroom, chopped
30 ounce kidney beans
15 ounce black beans
15 ounce tomato sauce
14 1/2 ounce diced tomatoes
12 ounce tomato paste
18 ounces of water
1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons ground cumin
1 tablespoon black pepper

Recipe Directions for Spicey crock pot chili

  1. Cook the ground beef and turkey in the hot skillet until completely browned, drain.

  2. In a large with a lid combine the meat, beans, tomatoe paste, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, mushrooms, 12 ounces of water and all of the spices.

  3. In the same skillet that you cooked the meat in add

  4. the bell peppers, onions, and celery with 6 ounces of water. Over a low heat cook these items for about 10 mins or just until tender, then add to the bowl. Cover the bowl and refrigerate until morning.

  5. In the morning put the chili in the crock pot on low. The chili should cook for about 7/8 hours.
