A nice thick stew that can be served over rice, baked potatoes or all by its self witha salad.

Recipe Ingredients for Spiced Lentils

1 cup lentils
2 1/2 cups water
28 oz. crushed tomatoes
1 clove garlic
1 cup onion, chopped
1 cup carrots, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
1/2 tsp. Allspice
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/8 tsp. turmeric
2 tablespoon lemon juice

Recipe Directions for Spiced Lentils

Saute onion, garlic, carrots, celery till soft. Add everything else in a crock pot and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 or until lentils are done.
