Recipe Ingredients for Spiced Lentil & Chickpea soup

100 grams Lentils
27.5 grams Extra Virgin Olive Oil
3/4 medium White Onion
2 cloves, raw Garlic
15 grams Ground Cumin
2 tsp Coriander Seed
0.5 tsp Cinnamon, Ground
1/4 tsp Red Chili Pepper
4 medium whole (2-3/5" dia) Tomatoes, Red, Ripe
14 oz Chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans, Bengal Gram), Mature Seeds, Canned
1 tbsp Tomato Paste
5 cup Organics Culinary Stock

Recipe Directions for Spiced Lentil & Chickpea soup

  1. Put lentils in saucepan and simmer for 20 minutes than drain.

  2. Heat oil in saucepan and cook onlons and garlic until tender (~4 minutes)

  3. Stir in remaining ingredients including the lentils and let simmer for 15 minutes.

  4. Add S&P to tasts and a little lemon if you desire. Soup is best the second day,
