Recipe Ingredients for Spice Lamb with Dates

30 g Plain flour
250 g lamb
10 g sunflower oil
1 onion
2 cloves garlic
1 bell pepper red
1 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp chilli powder
300 ml water
1 stock cube, lamb
400 g chopped tomatoes
225 g carrots
175 g parsnip
175 g courgette
175 g mushrooms
100 g dates

Recipe Directions for Spice Lamb with Dates

  1. Toss the cubed lamb in some of the flour

  2. Heat the oil, and add the lamb, chopped onion, chopped garlic, and cubed pepper. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring continuously.

  3. Add the remaining flour and the spices, cook for another minute.

  4. Add the stock, chopped tomatoes, sliced carrots and parsnip. [If doing this in the slow cooker, add it to the slow cooker now and add the remaining ingredients - cook on high for a few hours, or low for 6 to 8]

  5. Simmer for 30 mins.

  6. Add the sliced courgette, mushroom, dates.

  7. Simmer for 30 mins or till the lamb is tender.
