Spelt Bread Recipe

Makes 40 servings



Healthy spelt bread with seeds. Add what ever seeds you like! This makes 2 loaves. I sliced them quite thinly here. It didn't rise a whole lot so you could add a bit more yeast if you want.

Recipe Ingredients for spelt bread

500 g spelt flour
400 ml water
1 tsp yeast
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
100 g pumpkin seeds
45 g pecan nuts

Recipe Directions for spelt bread

  1. Mix flour, salt, yeast and nuts.

  2. Disolve honey in water (warm).

  3. Add to dry ingredients, mix roughly.

  4. Add olive oil. Mix throughly.

  5. Knead dough for a few minutes.

  6. Split between two 500g loaf tins.

  7. Cover and stand in a warm place for about an hour. Bake at 180 degrees (fan oven) for 40 - 45 mins.
