Recipe Ingredients for Spanish Rice

1 tbsp canola oil
2 cups white rice, medium grain, raw
8 oz tomato sauce, no salt added
1 3/4 cups water

Recipe Directions for Spanish Rice

  1. Heat oil in 3 qt. saucepan, over medium high heat, add raw rice, stir frequently until rice turns white.

  2. Reduce heat to medium, add tomato sauce, stir for one minute.

  3. Add water, bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover and leave for 20 minutes.

  4. Stir and serve. Will hold for 2 hours.
