This is a really good spanish rice recipe that is easy to memorize and quick to whip-up!

Recipe Ingredients for Spanish Rice

1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
1/2 cup white onion, chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 cup water
29 oz. diced tomatoes
4 oz. green chiles
3/4 cups long grain white rice
5 dashes Tabasco sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Recipe Directions for Spanish Rice

  1. Sautee onions, bell pepper and garlic in olive oil until tender; add chili powder and sautee one minute more.

  2. Add water, tomatoes, green chiles, Tabasco sauce, rice, salt and pepper; stir.

  3. Bring mixture to a simmer; cover with tin foil or lid and simmer for 22 minutes (or until rice is sticky and liquid has been soaked up in it.)
