Recipe Ingredients for Spanish Rice, homemade

2 cups long grain rice
4 oz tomato sauce
1/4 bell pepper
1 salt
1 pepper
1/4 tsp garlic, chopped
4 cups water
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1/8 onion

Recipe Directions for Spanish Rice, homemade

  1. brown onions and garlic in vegetable oil at high heat

  2. add rice, moving constantly, until white

  3. add bell pepper, salt and pepper

  4. add water, cover and reduce heat to simmer until done
