Recipe Ingredients for Spanikopita

2 (12oz)pkg frozen spinach
2 onions
1 tsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic
6 tbsp fat free plain yogurt
8 oz feta cheese
1/2 tsp nutmeg
3 tbsp butter
17 sheets phyllo pastry

Recipe Directions for Spanikopita

  1. drain spinach

  2. saute onions in olive oil

  3. mix first 9 ingredients together in a large bowl

  4. paint half a sheet of phyllo with melted butter, fold in half, place a spoon of filling at the bottom of the sheet and fold the sheet over to look like a triangle, continue to fold over the triangle up to the top of the sheet paint the edges with butter to seal. Place on baking sheet, and bake in preheated oven at 400 degrees for 15 mins or until golden brown.
