For the crushed tomatoes, I used one 28-ounce can.

Recipe Ingredients for Spaghetti with Sausage

1 pound sausage, chicken
1 medium onion, diced
794 g Tomatoes, Crushed, Canned
1 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp basil
1/4 tsp rosemary
1/4 tsp thyme
3 cloves garlic
1 pound spaghetti
2 tsp parmesan cheese, grated

Recipe Directions for Spaghetti with Sausage

  1. Set a pot of water on to boil for the pasta. When the water is boiling, add the spaghetti and cook for however long the package tells you to.

  2. Remove sausage from casing.

  3. Brown sausage in a non-stick pan. Break up the clumps so that the sausage is in crumbled pieces.

  4. Add the onions to the pan and stir and cook for a few more minutes until the onion is translucent. Add the garlic midway through this step.

  5. Add the crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, thyme, and rosemary. Mix.

  6. Lower the heat and let the sauce simmer for at least 30 minutes.

  7. Pour the sauce over the pasta and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
