Recipe Ingredients for Spaghetti sauce

84 oz whole plum tomatoes Italian style
12 oz tomato paste
1 1/2 cups water
2 large onions
5 cloves garlic minced
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp basil
1 1/2 tbsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tbsp sugar

Recipe Directions for Spaghetti sauce

  1. Run tomatoes through blender and reserve

  2. In large pot, saute onion and garlic in a small amount of olive oil until soft

  3. Add salt, pepper, basil and oregano and stir

  4. Add tomato paste and water. Bring to a simmer for 10 minutes

  5. Add tomatoes and sugar. Bring to a slow boil, then simmer for 2 1/2 to 3 hours
