Use 95% lean or rinse meat in a colander after cooking.

Recipe Ingredients for Spaghetti Sauce - Low Fat

2 lbs. hamburger
70 oz. canned tomatoes
12 oz. canned tomato paste
1 onion, diced
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 tbsp basil
1/2 tbsp oregano
1 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp marjoram
1 lb. mushrooms, sliced

Recipe Directions for Spaghetti Sauce - Low Fat

  1. Brown meat and crumble.

  2. Add onion and garlic

  3. Add any combination of tomato sauce or other canned tomatoes.

  4. Add the rest of the seasonings.

  5. Bring to a boil, reduce to simmer.

  6. Add mushrooms, simmer until tender.

  7. Serve over pasta or other veggies.
