A new take on spaghetti and sauce

Recipe Ingredients for Spaghetti Pie

6 oz spaghetti
2 tablespoons margarine
1 egg
1/3 cup parmesan cheese
1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 cup onion
1/4 cup green pepper
1 cup mushrooms
1/2 cup mozarella
1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese
1 cup tomato sauce

Recipe Directions for Spaghetti Pie

  1. Cook and drain spaghetti. Let cool.

  2. Add margarine, egg, and parmesan to the cooled spaghetti. Press into a 10 inch pie plate.

  3. Brown meat and drain. Add peppers, onions, and mushrooms to pain. Saute until onions are translucent.

  4. Add meat and sauce to pain. Heat through.

  5. Spread cottage cheese on noodle crust. Spread meat sauces over cottage cheese.

  6. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.

  7. Sprinkle on the mozzarella and bake an additional 5 minutes.
