A twist on the Jambalaya using whole wheat spaghetti.

Recipe Ingredients for Spaghetti Jambalaya

150 grams Spaghetti, Whole-wheat, Cooked
4 large Shrimp, Mixed Species
50 grams Chicken, Breast, Meat Only
35 grams Polska Kielbasa Sausage Link
1/4 cup Tomato Sauce
0.5 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
0.5 tbsp Peppers, Sweet, Red
0.25 cup Chicken Broth
3 tsp Cajun Seasoning
0.3 tablespoon Oregano
0.3 tablespoon Thyme
1 tsp Chili Powder
1 clove Garlic
0.5 tbsp chopped Onions

Recipe Directions for Spaghetti Jambalaya

  1. Slice sausage thinly. peel and devein shrimp. Chop chicken meat into cubes. mince the garlic and dice the onions and roasted pepper.

  2. Saute onion and pepper unitl soft. Add sausage slices. Add garlic. Add shrimp. Cook until it turns pink. Add chicken pieces. Add thyme, oregano, cajun seasoning and (optional) sweet and hot paprika to taste. Add tomato sauce and broth. Cook for a couple of minutes then add pasta. Toss to coat and distritbute sauce and meat.

  3. Season with salt and pepper and more cajun seasoning if necessary. Add chili powder.

  4. Serve with lemon wedges.
