Recipe Ingredients for Spaghetti with Homemade Marinara

16 oz whole wheat spaghetti
16 oz tomatoe sauce
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 onion chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
1 teaspoon anchovy paste
1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Recipe Directions for Spaghetti with Homemade Marinara

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions.

  2. Sautee onion in oilve oil until translucent. Add garlic and sautee a minute longer. Add anchovy paste and spices and sautee one minute longer. Add tomato sauce and bring to simmer. Simmer five to ten minutes longer.

  3. Ready to eat!
