Use wheat spaghetti & low fat mozzarella cheese to get a lower calorie dish.

Recipe Ingredients for Spaghetti Casserole

6 ounce Spaghetti
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup green bell peppers
1/2 cup mushrooms
1 tbs cooking spray
14 1/2 ounces canned tomatoes
2 tsp oregano
1/2 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup Mozzarella cheese
1/8 cup of water

Recipe Directions for Spaghetti Casserole

  1. Preheat the oven to 350.

  2. Cook and drain spaghetti. Place spaghetti to the side.

  3. In a separate pan spray the cooking spray. Saute the onions, green bell peppers and mushrooms until the onions are clear. Keep vegetables at a low heat.

  4. In a separate bowl blend the tomatoes and oregano. Add the tomato mixture to the vegetable saute.

  5. In a square 8 x 8 baking pan layer the cooked spaghetti, vegetable mixture and cheese. Repeat the layering until the spaghetti & vegetable mixture is complete.

  6. In a pan put 1/2 can cream of mushroom soup and 1/8 cup of water. Warm up. layer the mushroom mixture on the top of the spaghetti dish. Top with remaining mozzarella cheese.

  7. Cook the casserole for 30-35 minutes.
