Recipe Ingredients for Soya and stuffing sausage rolls

2 1/2 ounces soya mince
150 ml boiling water, rehydrate mince
5 grams bouillon - swiss vegetable, powder , to make stock and rehydrate the mince
3 ounces sage and onion stuffing mix
260 ml boiling water, to rehydrate the stuffing
1/2 tablespoon worchestershire sauce
1/2 large onion, minced
2 garlic cloves, chopped finely
1 pinch salt
1/2 oz pepper
100 ml boiling water, to blend soya, onion, garlic, seasoning and stuffing together
5 grams bouillon - swiss vegetable, powder , to make above into stock to bind ingredients together
26 oz puff pastry frozen ready to bake

Recipe Directions for Soya and stuffing sausage rolls

  1. Make the pastry and wrap and place in the fridge for 1 hour. While thats chilling............

  2. Rehydrate the mince with the allocated water and stock, rehydrate the stuffing with the allocated amount of water, stand for 5 minutes and combine the 2 in a large bowl and mix in the minced onion garlic, seasoning and worchestershire sauce, then in a food processer, put half the mix in and through the pourer whilst blending add the 50 ml stock slowly, you want to stop when its been blitzed into a smothish consistancy, place in another large bowl and repeat with the other half of mix, then combine the 2, adding more seasoning if required, set aside to cool fully.

  3. Roll out pastry to as thin as you can and cut into a square, at one edge, at the bottom place 1/2 inch stip of mix, then carefully roll up and make it into sausage, cut along leaving a strip to fold over, brush a little milk on the strip and seal edge, now cut into 2 - 2 1/2 inch pieces, place on a lightly oiled baking sheet, seal at the bottom and repeat process until all the mixture and pastry are used should make 33 - 34 sausage rolls.

  4. Cook in a pre heated oven gas mark 6 for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Once cooked place on a wire rack to cool and eat either hot or cold as a main or at a party with chutney.
