Recipe Ingredients for Southwest Turkey Chili

1 lb kidney bean
3 tbs canola oil
1 lb ground turkey
9 servings
1 medium onion, diced

Recipe Directions for Southwest Turkey Chili

  1. Soak kidney beans over night

  2. Brown turkey with some salt and pepper for flavor

  3. Add diced onions until they start to turn clear

  4. Put kidney beans in 3qt slow cooker

  5. Add diced tomatoes

  6. Add the tukey and onions

  7. Add water to cover

  8. Stir ingredients together

  9. Add ground cumin and chili powder to taste

  10. Cook in slow cooker for at least 4 hours or until chili cooks down to desired consistency

  11. (opt) serve with 1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
