chicken broth based vegetable bean soup, flavored with salsa and chili powder

Recipe Ingredients for southwest soup puree

0.68 cup kidney beans (1 can pink beans)
1 cup salsa
5 cups fat free chicken broth
5 ounce broccoli
5 ounce cauliflower
1 cup chopped onion
1 medium carrot
1 tbs olive oil
1 tbs chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Recipe Directions for southwest soup puree

  1. saute onions and carrot in oil

  2. boil chicken broth

  3. add frozen cauliflower and broccoli

  4. when cooked, mix all ingredients, puree in batches

  5. cook a little longer

  6. 1 cup serving
