Greens add more cruciferous veggies to this slaw and the Cajun spice adds some heat. Can be used as a side dish or topping for a sandwhich. Serving size is 1-cup.

Recipe Ingredients for Southern-Style Power Slaw

1 cup mayonnaise
1/8 cup Dijon mustard
3 tbl Sugar
3 tbl Apple Cider Vinegar
1 1/2 tsp Cajun spice
1 tsp salt
6 cups Cabbage, shredded
1 cup collard greens, shredded
1/4 cup Onion, diced

Recipe Directions for Southern-Style Power Slaw

  1. Combine the mayonnaise, mustard, sugar, vinegar, Cajun spice and salt in a mixing bowl large enough to hold the salad. Mix well with a wire whisk until combined.

  2. Combine the cabbages, greens, onions in the bowl with the dressing until mixed well. Allow to marinate for 1 hour before serving.
