Recipe Ingredients for Southern Living Beef Burgundy Stroganoff

1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 pound mushrooms
1 clove garlic, minced
3 tbsp margerine or butter
1 pound beef roast, cut into thin strips
3 tbsp flour
3 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup burgundy wine
1/4 tsp pepper
1 can (10 1/2 ounce) beef consomme, undiluted
8 ounces light sour cream
4 cups medium egg noodles

Recipe Directions for Southern Living Beef Burgundy Stroganoff

  1. Cook first 3 items in butter, stirring until tender.

  2. Add beef; cook, stirring constntly, until it is no longer pink.

  3. Stir in flour and fnext 4 ingredients.

  4. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  5. Stir in sour cream; cook just until mixture is thoroughly heated (do not boil). Serve over noodles.
