Recipe Ingredients for Southern Fried Fish

16 oz Tilapia Fillets
60 grams White Corn Meal, enriched- Joy Brand
0.75 cup Fat-Free Buttermilk
0.5 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Bleached
0.33 cup Vegetable Oil, Canola
3 tsp Seasoned Salt
1 grams Ground Red Pepper Spice

Recipe Directions for Southern Fried Fish

  1. In large, shallow dish, mix cornmeal, Seasoned Salt and red pepper. Dip fish in buttermilk; shake off excess buttermilk, then coat both sides with flour. Dip again in buttermilk, then coat with cornmeal mixture.

  2. In skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat and fry fish 10 minutes or until fish flakes easily withfork, turning once.
